- The standards require a 100% functional test of the product.
- The type of test depends exclusively on the type of product being tested.
- Examples of functional tests commonly performed include: supplying the product with nominal power (stabilised or unstabilised), measuring current consumption, measuring power, detecting ignition (manually or by camera), checking rotation/flow rate, measuring temperature/pressure/flow rate, etc..
